How to Qualify: The Trainer Journey
To become an ADI, you must complete three DVSA tests.
Part 1 – Theory & Hazard Perception
Multiple-choice theory test covering the Highway Code, driving rules, and more.
Hazard perception videos to assess your risk awareness.
Part 2 – Driving Ability
A practical driving test to demonstrate advanced driving competence.
Part 3 – Instructional Ability

After passing, you’ll need to register as an ADI, which includes a DBS check and a registration fee.
