Canterbury Driving Test Centre — History and Local Test Preparation
Canterbury Driving Test Centre is at 25 New Dover Road, Canterbury, CT1 3AS. Official Driving Standards Agency records include Canterbury in figures covering April 2004 to March 2011, confirming that the centre was operating by 2011. The original opening date of the current New Dover Road premises has not been confirmed.
The road itself has a much longer history. Canterbury City Council records that New Dover Road was built in 1792 to provide a more direct stagecoach approach to the city. That date relates to the road, rather than the driving test centre.
For today’s learners, preparation matters more than memorising a particular route. Mark can help you practise observation, junctions, roundabouts, parking and independent driving, with lessons shaped around your confidence and experience. Ask about manual, automatic or refresher lessons in Canterbury and a suitable pickup from home, college or work, subject to availability.
